DEATHWING AND THE BLACK DRAGONFLIGHT
DEATHWING THE DESTROYER

Once known as Neltharion the Earth-Warder,
Deathwing claimed his new title after the completion of the Dragon Soul, a powerful artifact that claimed the powers of each flight with the intent of using them as almighty weapon against the demons of the Burning Legion. The creation of this artifact was the catalyst of the Dragon War that occurs this very day. Neltharion had been given his powers by the titan Khaz'goroth the Shaper. The Black Dragonflight had once been charged with overseeing very land of Azeroth, creating mountains, valleys and caverns to keep the land healthy. Since their fall, they seek only to revel in the misery and suffering of others.

OBSIDIAN SANCTUM

Characters who are not sworn into the Black Dragonflight will find that it is nearly impossible for them to gain a secure footing if they step inside this Sanctum. The Obsidian Sanctum is filled with mountains and valleys, rivers of lava running across precarious crevasses that seem to appear and disappear without warning. The black dragonkin guarding the sanctum do not appear friendly, and are liable to attack even their own without warning.
No matter where you look in the Obsidian Sanctum, there are eggs of all shapes, sizes and colors. The majority of them appear to be spikey and awkwardly colored orange -- these are the eggs the dragonkin watch the most. Attempting to touch any of the eggs in the sanctum will result in having yourself swarmed by the Blackflight and punished, possibly to the point of death if you happened to accidentally break one. Oh, and don't mind the dark, eldritch whispers you think you might hear every now and then...it's clearly just your imagination.
Black Dragonsworn will find that they have the power to construct infrastructure within the Sanctum from the rock that covers the entire cave with mere thought, though not outside of it. The longer one spends time moving the earth, the more tired they will become, regardless of personal power level. Large projects would require multiple people. For those looking to fight, there are racks of weapons and armor, attended by two buff dragonkin guards; the limit is two weapons and one suit of armor, for now. There is a stockpile of meats held in a large cave in the sanctum, where dragonsworn are welcome to take from...so long as they assist in filling it back up afterward. Black Dragons are particularly insistent about this -- they keep inventory of those who do not contribute. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a cavern off to the side filled with rock candy.

BLACK DRAGONSWORN
Characters who are sworn into the Black Dragonflight seek only indulgence in their own selfish desires. Typically, characters who walk under Deathwing's banner share his insatiable desire for power and are not entirely covert in displays of antagonism. Most people would call these characters "evil", regardless of their intentions and ultimate ends. Not all characters who are inducted into Deathwing's flight are world-destroyers or visibly disruptive, but all characters are morally disparaged in some fashion. Deathwing is quick to keep those under his banner in check, and remind them that they are there because he allows them to be.
Upon being sworn, characters will be granted the following abilities:
Upon being sworn, characters will be granted the following abilities:
Stealth: Born of the earth, Black Dragonsworn are able to disappear into the shadows around them and meld with their surroundings to sneak around into unexpected places. This skill takes some practice to master, especially for those who are not already covert in their actions. A learned Black Dragonsworn will often not be seen until he or she wants to be seen.
Glib-tongue: As the Destroyer's chosen, Black Dragonsworn will find themselves much more...convincing than they had been previously. Words that may have obviously been lies may be seen as truth by even the most intelligent of folk. But be wary...this ability comes at the price of one's sane mind when used against another Dragonsworn. For every lie a Black Dragonsworn tells and another Dragonsworn takes for truth, the Blacks themselves will also lose a truth known to them. No doubt a fail-safe implemented by Deathwing himself.
Dragonbreath: The black dragons rule over the domain of earth, including all the deep darkness and all the things that make new land. Characters have the ability to command the earth to move around them, rather than form breath at their hands.
