The classes are there just for sorting purposes; a demon sword wouldn't keep him from being a paladin. If we feel like he might fit something else (like an undead character/character who has died having powers similar to a death knight), we'll suggest it.

Just a reminder, though-- you can gain brand new Warcraft paladin powers, or you can keep the old ones.
